STATEMENT
The work I present has a tactile, then aesthetic, purpose. I model objects that can be touched and worn. Not just looked at, but rather experienced and enjoyed to the full. Clay is the exclusive medium I've used since 2018; the need for a direct process where the emotional flow is immediate made me choose it.
The object is constructed and grows from a shapeless mass of clay. It is struck repeatedly. I follow the yielding and resistance of the material.
The formation process is the natural one of compression, emergence, erosion.
The artwork introduced is has a tactile purpose, then aesthetic.
Model of objects that you can touch, wear.
Not only just to see them but in order to gain a concrete experience and fully enjoyment.
Since 2018 I use clay most of all, chosen for the need for a direct processing where the emotional rush immediately flows. From a shapeless heap of clay, the item takes shape by itself. I hit the clay many times, following its nature, its power, its resistance, its surrender.
The “formation process” is just the natural one: compression, emergence, erosion.
